Lucy Ofori

Founder

Hi, I’m Lucy Ofori (she/her), the heart behind IncLuusive.

I’m a queer, neurodivergent, Black Ghanian-Canadian woman born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, and now living and working in Nova Scotia. I come from a family of Ghanaian immigrants, and that background shapes the way I move through the world: with care, curiosity, and a deep commitment to community.

I created IncLuusive to help organizations move beyond performative checklists and into meaningful, people-centered equity work. With a background in municipal government, post-secondary education, and community care, I bring both lived experience and practical expertise to every engagement. I’ve led policy development, trained hundreds of leaders and staff, supported inclusive hiring practices, and designed thoughtful programming for queer, Black, Indigenous, newcomer, and youth communities.

My work brings a trauma-informed, people-first approach to building equitable systems and fostering inclusive environments, and a belief that belonging is not a “nice-to-have,” it’s essential. I’m especially passionate about supporting organizations that are trying their best and want to do better. Whether you’re refining your DEI strategy, reviewing internal policies, or building an inclusive culture from the ground up, I’m here to help you move forward with intention, integrity, and heart.

IncLuusive isn’t just a name - it’s a philosophy. One that centers justice, care, and collaboration, and invites organizations to grow in ways that reflect the diversity of the people they serve.

Land and Historical Communities Acknowledgment

IncLuusive acknowledges that it operates on the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People, known as Mi’kma’ki. This territory includes all of what is now Nova Scotia and extends beyond provincial boundaries. The company recognizes the enduring presence, rights, and sovereignty of the Mi’kmaq and affirms that we are all Treaty People, bound by the responsibilities and relationships outlined in the Peace and Friendship Treaties.

IncLuusive also honors the vibrant and resilient communities of African Nova Scotians, who have lived on these lands for over 400 years. From historic Black Loyalist settlements to present-day communities, African Nova Scotians continue to face systemic inequities rooted in colonialism and anti-Black racism. The company acknowledges the strength, culture, and contributions of these communities and recognizes the ongoing need to dismantle systemic barriers and anti-Black racism. As a business rooted in equity, belonging, and justice, IncLuusive is committed not only to acknowledgment but to meaningful, ongoing action.
